UPDATE – the scene is now clear and all lanes have re-opened on the #M25 clockwise between J20 and J21 in #Hertfordshire following the earlier collision. Thank you for your patience, please have a safe onward journey.

Traffic has been STOPPED on the #M25 in both directions between J2 (#A2, #Dartford) and J3 (#Swanley) in #Kent to allow horses to be transferred from a broken down horsebox. Congestion is building on approach. Updates to follow.

The horsebox transfer is now complete, and traffic has now been released in both directions on the #M25 in both directions between J2 (#A2, #Dartford) and J3 (#Swanley) in #Kent. Delays are easing. Thanks for your patience if you were held up.

@clydey1 @Gazzz_89 @DartCharge Hi Deb. I’m sorry to hear this and can fully appreciate the frustration these overnight works have caused you tonight. Work is taking place underneath the bridge which is why you won’t have seen anyone working. The lanes have to be closed for safety reasons.
