@surreyboy84 The DVLA don’t have access to the necessary systems for the relevant research, they can’t stop vehicles and can’t issue penalties for these offences. The Police is the lead agency for this type of offence. We’re hardly shouting about it, it was two tweets.

@sadlystillserve I can confirm that not to be true. Our Operations command is joint with Sussex and our colleagues @SussexRoadsPol are just as proactive in hunting down drink or drug drivers as we are.
