@martynbolt @SurreyPolice @CPSUK Hi, the driver was never on bail so this was not possible and only a court could impose an interim ban at the first hearing. He have a guilty plea at the first hearing and was banned there and then. Unfortunately there are no powers to stop a person driving until a court hearing.

This rider was detected by #VanguardRST at 84mph in a 50 limit in fog whilst not wearing protective clothing 😳 He also had an illegally small plate fitted. Summons to court for the consideration of a disqualification, & a £100 fine for the illegal plate #Fatal5 – excess speed
