Earlier this eve a motorbike failed to stop for us in Sunbury after we detected it speeding and going through a red light. We pursued it for a while before aborting as the rider was willing to take risks which could have resulted in stupid injury to him/herself or someone else.

This rider was detected by #VanguardRST at 84mph in a 50 limit in fog whilst not wearing protective clothing 😳 He also had an illegally small plate fitted. Summons to court for the consideration of a disqualification, & a £100 fine for the illegal plate #Fatal5 – excess speed

@sadlystillserve I can confirm that not to be true. Our Operations command is joint with Sussex and our colleagues @SussexRoadsPol are just as proactive in hunting down drink or drug drivers as we are.
